Regarded as one of the most influential people in figure skating, Sandra Bezic has had a prolific career touching almost every aspect of the sport.

Sandra first made her mark as a choreographer designing programs for World and Olympic champions, including Brian Boitano, Kristi Yamaguchi, Tara Lipinski, Lu Chen, Kurt Browning, and Barbara Underhill and Paul Martini. She went on to become the creative force behind ground-breaking touring skating productions. She directed and choreographed all three seasons of the critically acclaimed Bill Graham Presents: Boitano –Witt, followed by eleven seasons of Stars on Ice.

Exploring skating on the screen, Sandra has choreographed and/or produced countless network television specials including Brian Boitano's Canvas Of Ice, the internationally awarded film Carmen On Ice starring Katarina Witt, and CBC variety specials Brian Orser - Night Moves, and Kurt Browning, You Must Remember This. She co-created, and executive produced the CBC hit series, Battle of the Blades, which paired NHL hockey stars with leading figures skaters in a live elimination-style competition. In its four blockbuster seasons Battle of the Blades raised over a million dollars for charity and became the highest rated Canadian original reality television series of all time. She has been honoured with three Gemini Awards for producing Canadian television, the most recent for Battle of the Blades. In 2003 she was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography for the A&E presentation of Stars On Ice.

For twenty-four years Sandra has provided commentary for NBC figure skating. She has covered a multitude of major skating events for a variety of networks including six Winter Olympic Games, two with CBC (Albertville, Nagano) and four with NBC (Salt Lake City, Torino, Vancouver, Sochi).

In 1996 Sandra wrote The Passion To Skate: An Intimate View of Figure Skating. She followed her book with a release of a compilation music CD and a CBC primetime special of her work, both with the same title.

An offer she couldn’t refuse, Sandra was Marlon Brando’s personal skating coach for the feature film The Freshman and partnered him on-screen in a cameo role.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, at the age of thirteen Sandra won the first of five consecutive Canadian Pairs titles with her brother, Val. They represented Canada at the 1972 Olympics Games in Sapporo, Japan, and at five World Championships. Sandra was inducted into the Skate Canada Hall of Fame in 2012, and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2018.
